JHAYRA — Crafting Memories Into Art

How to make a personalised photo frame gift, step by step

Choosing the right photos, checking they will print sharply, getting names and dates right, and picking a size and frame.

A personalised photo frame is one of the few gifts people keep for years — but only if the photo is sharp, the names are spelled right and the size suits the wall. This is how to get each part right.

1. Choose the design first

Decide whether you want one photo, a collage, or a design with names and a date. Single-photo frames suit portraits and landscapes; collage and mosaic designs suit several memories; calendar and “moon & stars” designs mark one special date.

2. Pick photos that will print well

  • Use the original photo from the phone or camera — not a screenshot or a photo forwarded on WhatsApp, which is compressed.
  • Choose photos with good light and faces in focus.
  • For bigger sizes, use the highest-resolution photo you have. Our editor checks each photo when you upload it and tells you which sizes will look sharp.

3. Position each photo

Drag and zoom each photo inside its space so faces are not cut off at the edges. Keep important details away from the border — the frame covers a few millimetres around the print.

4. Check every word

Names, dates and messages are printed exactly as typed. Read them twice, and check the spelling of names with someone else if you can.

5. Choose size and frame

A4 (9.5 × 13 in) suits a desk or shelf; A3+ (12 × 18 in) a bedside or hallway wall; 18 × 24 in and 24 × 36 in make a statement above a sofa or bed. Gold and brown frames feel warm and traditional; black is crisp and modern.

6. Make it a gift

At checkout you can add a free printed gift card with your message and choose to hide the price. Every piece is made to order — allow 1–2 business days to make it and 5–7 for delivery.
